MARINE Self-Registration System Now Online

On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, the first step towards obtaining a 20-year renewable dock tenure was launched. The Government Dock Self Registration System is up and running for those located in the Sunshine Coast Region. More information can be found in the Government’s published news release.

NOTE: This is for Ocean Docks Only at this time. DO NOT register lake docks yet. Likely Freshwater registration will start some time in 2025.

The sLSA has been advised by the Province of their plans to inventory all docks and boathouses, including those on the lakes (at least Sakinaw and Ruby for now). Scheduling details are sketchy, but boats may be on the lakes as early as next week. It is not known if
